I read the reviews and thought the negatives weren't as tech saavy as I. VGA is analog, whereas RGB is digital. Well, look at me now. This won't work for connecting video from monitor to monitor or tv. From what I was told this cable doesn't even have an applicable use without a converter. I'm not asking for a refund because a tore the cable apart and spliced it with a digital end, as the cables inside are RGB, so this guy stuck a VGA end on a Digital cable. Don't buy this unless you want a digital cable to splice.
I was attemping to connect a laptop to my HD-Plasma TV. I was unable to get the laptop video signal to the TV.
The seller blamed it on not havinga dedicated video card, but one does. DO NOT BUY THIS, IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. I tried this cable withtwo laptops and neither one worked. The seller did offer to refund mymoney if I would send the cable back, but I doubt that would happen plusit's not worth the shipping. I will never buy anything from this guyagain.
Tried the cable on two different HDTV's and two different laptops. It simply didn't work. The TV's went blank and said they weren't receiving a signal. Ended up buying a Belkin VGA to VGA cable and it worked perfectly.
I connected it to the component outputs of my HD cable box and a DVD player. I highly recommend this cable. The 25ft length enabled me to move the project far across the room from the source. I bought two of these cables to use with my Panasonic HD projectors. The projector has a VGA connector for component video input. The picture quality is excellent. Please remember that this cable will only work with VGA devices which can be configured for component video input.
